IBC Tote Tank Parts and Accessories

IBC tote tanks are available in different sizes and with different valves. At Agrico Plastiques, we offer one size: a 275 US gallon Mauser tote, approximately 1040 litres, equipped with a valve featuring a 2-inch male Camlock outlet.

We offer two configurations: a new steel cage with a new plastic tank, or a used, reconditioned steel cage with a new tank. Both come with the same factory-installed valve and are sold as complete units. We do not sell the cage or inner tank separately.

The replacement parts in this category are compatible with the Mauser totes we sell and are available individually. We also offer connection accessories for male Buttress, male Camlock and male NPT outlets. These accessories may fit different tote brands, provided the connection type, thread and diameter are confirmed.

IBC Tote Valves: Three Possible Connection Types

Most tote valves are 2 inches, but 3-inch valves are also available. Before ordering an adapter, identify the existing outlet. Matching diameters do not make different connection types interchangeable.

Valve with a Male Buttress Outlet

To connect a garden hose, we offer a female Buttress adapter with a male garden hose connection. This kit is sold unassembled.

Female Buttress to male Camlock and female Buttress to male NPT adapters provide different configurations. Have their mounting location confirmed for your equipment.

Valve with a Male Camlock Outlet

This is the configuration used on totes sold by Agrico Plastiques. The fitting that surrounds the valve outlet must be a female Camlock. Depending on your installation, choose a connection with:

• A male NPT thread.
• A female NPT thread.
• A hose barb.
• A male garden hose connection.

A female Camlock to female NPT elbow changes the connection direction. A female Camlock cap is available to close the outlet.

Valve with a Male NPT Outlet

This outlet accepts a matching-diameter female NPT fitting, such as a female × female NPT coupling. NPT threads are tapered. They must not be confused with Buttress threads or a protective cap’s straight threads.

A Common Mistake: Choosing a Fitting Based on the Cap

On applicable new totes, a threaded cap protects the aluminium foil seal at the valve outlet. After both are removed, the handle still controls valve opening and closing.

A common mistake is using the small cap threads on a male Camlock outlet to attach a threaded adapter. These threads are for the protective cap and do not form an NPT connection. Use the Camlock mechanism with a matching female fitting, without forcing an adapter onto the cap threads.

Replacing Accessories on an Agrico Tote

The Mauser replacement ball valve is intended for the Mauser totes we sell. It is not universal. We also offer their replacement vented lid. Caged tanks must be used with their cage.

Compatibility and Leak Collection

Fitting and gasket materials must be checked against the liquid, its concentration and its temperature. For pumped transfers, specify the expected pressure or suction conditions. These criteria apply across different tank applications and industries.

The 250-litre spill pallet collects leaks but cannot hold the full contents of our totes. The 1260-litre spill containment pallet offers greater capacity.

Do all accessories fit every tote?

No. The replacement valve is specific to Mauser. Fittings are selected according to the actual connection.

Do you offer parts for 3-inch outlets?

We offer 3-inch female Camlock and female NPT connections, but no replacement valve in this size.
