Several capacities are available to meet the needs of homes, businesses, buildings, warehouses, plants and public facilities. Industrial SOS Series models include a hinged lid that can be secured with a padlock. An economical 155-litre model is also available for residential applications.

Why use an outdoor salt bin?

Protect ice-melting products

The lid limits the exposure of salt, sand and abrasives to snow, rain and debris. The contents remain contained in a closed bin and accessible when a surface must be made safer quickly.

Placing a bin near an entrance, staircase, sidewalk or parking lot reduces the distance required to access ice-melting material. For larger facilities, several bins can be positioned throughout the areas where abrasives are used.

Construction suited to winter conditions

Rugged polyethylene resists extreme temperatures and chemicals. It does not rust and is suitable for outdoor applications where containers are exposed to cold, moisture and temperature changes.

SOS Series models have a double-wall lid attached to the container with a hinge. The lid can be secured with a padlock to restrict access to the contents. The economical TSA500 model does not include a locking system.

Nestable bins when empty

The tapered walls allow empty bins to nest inside one another. This design reduces the space required for storage or transportation before the bins are put into service.

How to choose the right capacity

The 155-litre bin is suitable for entrances, small parking lots, homes, businesses and areas requiring a moderate quantity of sand or salt. The SOS55 measures 30" × 24" × 23" and can be locked. The TSA500 measures 30" × 25" × 24" and provides an economical option for residential use.

The 311-litre size is suitable for buildings, workshops, loading docks and medium-sized parking lots. Its dimensions of 42" × 29" × 30" provide greater capacity while keeping the material manually accessible.

The 524-litre model measures 48" × 33" × 34". It meets the needs of businesses, industrial facilities and properties with several traffic areas to maintain.

The large 1,019-litre model measures 72" × 36" × 36". It is suitable for facilities that use large quantities of abrasives or ice-melting products. This model can be handled by a forklift from two sides when it must be moved.

The weight of the stored material must always be considered in addition to its volume. Capacity in litres indicates the available space, while load capacity represents the maximum weight the container can support.

Which colour should I choose?

Yellow provides high visibility in traffic areas. Grey is suitable for locations where a more discreet appearance is preferred. The TSA500 model is available only in yellow.
