The product being contained

For dry products, parts or solid materials, an MX Series pallet box can provide an effective balance of capacity, durability and cost.

When a pallet box must hold liquid continuously, a Dolav model designed for that purpose should be selected. Solid walls alone do not mean that a pallet box can be used as a tank or remain filled with liquid at its maximum capacity.

For heavy loads, repeated handling or demanding environments, a triple-wall PE Series pallet box can provide a more robust construction.

If the pallet box will contain a chemical product, the compatibility of the polyethylene, drain, seals and any modifications must be verified before use.

Capacity and dimensions

Two pallet boxes with a similar volume may have different exterior dimensions, heights and base configurations. Check the available space, doorways, aisles, conveyors, wash areas and handling equipment.

The base dimensions also affect compatibility with pallets, carts, pallet jacks and existing storage areas.

Load and stacking

The pallet boxes in this category can be stacked up to 10 high, but this figure must never be considered on its own. The safe stacking height depends on the model, weight of the contents, load distribution, temperature, storage duration and floor stability.

Washing and drainage

The solid walls and bottom retain both the products and wash water. To speed up emptying, a drain for pallet boxes can be installed on certain models.
